From the Haiku Help website: "On the evening of May 15, Rachel Widomski was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver outside of Haiku restaurant. Rachel’s severe spinal cord injuries will leave her paralyzed for life. Please join us in a city-wide fundraising effort to help support Rachel and her family during her long road to recovery."
A shop has been set up on Etsy to help Rachel and her family. Many Columbus Etsy sellers are listing items in the shop, and all of the proceeds will go to the Rachel Widomski Medical Trust. I encourage everyone to visit the shop and buy an item. The scarf that I listed has already sold, so I will be posting additional items this week.
This weekend is also Hope Weekend here in Columbus. There will be several events taking place to raise money for Rachel, including an artwork silent auction and a benefit concert. For details about Hope Weekend and Rachel, please visit Haiku Help.
