I'm doing my best to not allow May to pass by without enjoying it. I'm down to two weeks before the big belly dance seminar weekend. I've gotten my buttons and mirrors courtesy of the fantastic AmyLynn of Kittycrossbones18 Designs. My matching notecards should be arriving in the next couple of days, and I'm now in serious scarf painting mode. After these next two weeks are done, I am going to have to do a major reorganization of my painting space...I'm tripping over boxes and bins full of stuff. It's driving me a bit mad, but it will just have to wait until the whirlwind dies down.
A couple of weekends ago, some friends and I went out to celebrate the birthday of my dear friend Dre. As the celebration fell on Cinco de Mayo, and she's from a Mexican family, she gave us gorgeously colored tin folk art pieces attached to her little report on the origins of Cinco de Mayo. It was a wonderful evening, full of fun and festivities. Now, I need to find the perfect spot to hang my new little house.
