Okay, so it's not the beginning of the month nor the new moon, but it's so much fun to say. I was intending to post this last week, but then I was hit by a case of upset stomach. Ugh!! There isn't too much worse than that. I spent so much time flat on my back, I was stiff and sore when I was finally up and moving.
I've been working on a lot of new ideas this week, including some new silk scarves, such as this pretty bunny. It's currently in the shop. In about a month, I will be vending at a belly dance seminar, so I'm painting some larger rectangular scarves which will be perfect for tying around the hips when you're (to quote my friend Mariah) "gettin' yer shimmy on". I'll be posting more information about the dance weekend in the weeks to come. I'm in the dance troupe which is hosting the event, so I'll be performing at the big Saturday night show, as well as selling my artistic wares.
I'm so happy that it's spring! I've been trying to get outside a little bit every couple of days, whenever I begin to feel mole-like, hidden away in the studio. I'm almost done cleaning up the last remnants of autumn and winter from the garden, so I'll be ready to plant new things very soon! My much beloved magenta birdbath is back in its place of honor. I'm thinking of getting a crochet set, so I can host some garden parties this summer. Mint juleps, anyone?
